Our New Greenhouses Are Up and Planted!

Our two new 30-by-96-foot greenhouses are already packed with plantings. Board Chair Rich Torkelson and a mighty crew undertook the construction, and Aliza, Kelly, and their most hearty crew planted rows and rows of greens. When harvested, these nutrient-dense greens will go to local food pantries and student lunches through our Farm-to-School program. We will also have greens for sale at the Farm Stand.

Outdoors there may be frost, but the insulated greenhouses keep the temperature up and give us an expanded growing season. They’re also energy efficient and heavy duty. Our gratitude to the Saratoga Foundation and all of our our generous supporters for making the greenhouses possible!
