Chef AJ Richards
Chef Owner AJ Richards CEC of [farmacy] restobar in Glens Falls focuses on locally sourced and sustainable products and designs his menus based on his farmers' current bounties, allowing for daily menu changes. Chef Richards previously worked at Gideon Putnam, Dunham’s Bay Resort, and Henry Street Taproom. Prior to opening [farmacy] restobar, he went to Chicago where he trained under three Michelin star Chef Grant Achatz at Alinea and its sister restaurant Nextwas. Chef Richards was named Albany’s Rising Star Chef in 2018, as the only chef to ever receive a perfect score. He is also a level one sommelier from the Court of Master Somms and a certified cicerone as well as a certified executive chef from the American Culinary Federation. Originally from Syracuse, AJ loves cooking over fire because of the skill and attention it takes to “work with something so alive.”
