Calling all community gardeners!
As we bundle our way through bitter cold and a snowy landscape, I imagine that many of you are finding solace in delving into seed catalogs and imagining your first plantings.
I’m feeling especially grateful this winter to be coming onto the Pitney Meadows team in the role of Community Gardens Director as the Farm begins its third year of shared gardening. Thanks to everyone who made these gardens bloom.
We’re happy to announce an upcoming Gardener Gathering on Wednesday, February 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. at our office/meeting space at 112 Spring Street, suite 109 (lower level). You’ll have a chance to meet returning and new garden neighbors, review the 2019 garden bed map, hear about potential new programs, and drop off your plot payment if you have not already done so. This gathering is open to all returning and wait-list gardeners, as well as those wishing to learn more about applying for a garden plot.
Please contact me at joyce.carroll@pitneymeadows.org if you have any questions.
I hope to see you there.
Keep warm, Joyce
