We've been fielding lots of questions from the community on how to start your own vegetable garden as everyone grapples with quarantine and social distancing. Trips to the grocery are encouraged to be infrequent, and we all would like to have that fresh produce at our fingertips. Eating healthy, nutrient-dense food is one of the best ways to keep you and your family healthy during this time. Although this moment can create a lot of fear and anxiety, it's also given us more time at home to explore new (or maybe old) healthy habits like gardening. We've decided to put together a series of short tutorials for starting your own vegetable garden. We'll be covering timely topics so that you can follow right along and be ready to plant outside as the weather warms up. Our first video is on peas which can be planted outside already because they love colder temperatures.
In addition, here is a list of local suppliers if you are in need of soil or seeds. These are all in the Saratoga region. Please just make sure to call ahead as they may have changes to their hours and pickups due to COVID-19.
