Event: Earth Day Celebration with Joe and Jesse Bruchac of the Ndakinna Education Center
Join us Saturday, April 22, from 1-2pm at the farm for an Earth Day Celebration in partnership with our friends Joe and Jesse Bruchac of the Ndakinna Education Center.
Program includes:
- Opening ceremony with an Abenaki greeting song and brief land acknowledgment
- Poetry readings by Joe Bruchac, Saratoga's first Poet Laureate, including Wendell Berry, Mary Oliver, Louise Eldrich, and Joy Harjo all centered on gardening and the earth
- Traditional Native American gardening story with Joe Bruchac
Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy the farm and learn more about our local Native American culture. This is a free program open to the public. No reservations needed. Walking trails are open and wheelchair accessible.
